Overview
Copenhagen has bee the capital for 600 year is the largest city in Scandinavia. With its vast Viking history, castles and emerald country side you will see its history everywhere you peer. The warmer summers and long day make for the perfect atmosphere will outdoors sitting at a cafe or at the TivoliGardens.
Port Orientation
There is one port in Copenhagen and it is the Freeport Terminal. Since it is a couple miles away from the center of town there is public transportation available to you.
Transportation
Copenhagen is a city you might want to walk. Everything is within a mile or so of each other. There are many taxis in Copenhagen, you can pay either in Krone or some take credit cards.
Sightseeing
There are museums to see. The biggest is the Royal Museum of Fine Arts. It closed on Mondays You can check out the Tivoli Gardens which has over 400,000 flowers. There are restaurants, concerts, rides, and dance performances for you to enjoy while at the gardens. It is open 7 days week (Sunday to Thursday 11am to midnight and Fridays and Saturdays 11am to 1am).
There are many other wonderfully interesting sights to see while in Copenhagen.
The Copenhagen Card
You might want to consider getting the Copenhagen Card, which offers unlimited free access by bus and rail throughout the metropolitan area for one or three days as well as complimentary admission to well over 60 sights and museums. One day: 199 DKK, three day: 399 DKK. For kids ages 10 - 15, the card is offered at 129 DKK and 229 DKK, respectively. Up to two children under the age of 10 are allowed free with each adult card.
