Dun Laoghaire (Dublin), Ireland

Passing through many hands of control, Dublin has seen and been influenced by many cultures until it found the one that fit it perfectly. Settled originally by Vikings and Celtic people, then fought over by England and eventually divided in two, Dublin battled a civil war and eventually became what it is today - an animate, welcoming city. Buskers on the cobblestone streets, affluent authors such as Oscar Wilde and Bram Stoker, and lively pubs bustling with people, are all traits that paint a perfect picture of this Irish city.

Dublin is also a city of contrasts where you'll find architecture ranging from brand new and modern, such as the stainless steel Spire of Dublin, to old and historical such as the Dublin Castle.  When most people think of Ireland green immediately comes to mind.  Dublin is home to many green spaces and has many beautiful flower gardens.  Dublin also has a great history of literature, art and music.  Ireland, like the rest of the UK, enjoys a mild climate making it very comfortable but it can rain at any time so always bring your umbrella.
