Introduction
Just 16 miles from the Mexican boarder, San Diego is a destination perfect for surf, sand, and sun - as well as shopping and eating. Colonial Spanish architecture gives the Old Town of San Diego an air of the old times, while the downtown and waterfront keep up with the present. Vistas of the sparkling blue ocean and dry, rocky hills on the opposite side, and tons of adventures to be had in between.

Getting Around
San Diego is excellently walkable and compact. Many attractions are within walking distance of each other and also the port. Taxis, trolleys, buses, and bike cabbies are also easy modes to get around the city and surrounding areas.
Attractions
There are tons and tons of things to do during your stay in sunny San Diego. One option, of course, would be to visit one of the many phenomenal beaches, such as the lovely Ocean Beach, popular Mission Beach, scenic Pacific Beach, or incredible La Jolla Cove. There is one place that one should definitely not miss on their adventure in San Diego - Balboa Park, home to stunning architecture, beautiful, vibrant flowers, and history pouring out of all of its aspects. Gaslamp Quarter, a historic neighborhood, is a wonderful place to stroll around, with many shops, restaurants, and lively nightlife. The world-famous San Diego Zoo, not too far from the previous locations, brings thousands of people every day, thanks to its variety of exotic animals and cleanliness. The San Diego Wild Animal Park, with safari tours amongst free-roaming wildlife, is another option for a unique thing to do with your day in San Diego. For a step back in time, visit San Diego's Old Town, with old Hispanic architecture and an Old West feel. If sumptuous scenery is more up your alley, hike the Guy Fleming Trail in the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve to the top to look out across the greater San Diego area and the gorgeous bay.
