Some of the main highlights on this cruise include tracing the path of American independence; eating fresh New England lobster; watching dyeing demonstrations; visiting a working mini-mill and farm near Charlottetown; and shopping for yarn at some of the best shops in the region.

This directional cruise from Quebec City to New York visits several ports in Quebec, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Maine, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. On this knitting cruise, you will see fall colors while sampling the delights of French Canada and New England. There are many compelling reasons we invite you to join us as we celebrate the stunning beauty of fall onboard Holland America's ms Zuiderdam.

This cruise is ideal for those who want to cruise close to home. The cruise begins in historical French Canada visiting many interesting ports followed by one day at sea. Alissa Barton will be offering a class program designed specifically for this itinerary. Alissa is both a designer and knitting expert and she has created a great line-up of lectures and classes specifically for this cruise to challenge knitters. The onboard knitting program will include such topics as Intarsia, Lace Knitting from Charts, Yoke Sweaters, Knitters Ed, Fixing Mistakes, Owning the Decrease and The Art of Keeping A Knitting Journal. Knitters of all skill levels will take home helpful tips and tricks that will help you bring greater joy to your knitting.
