Beading Cruises

What to expect on a Beading cruise

Our beading cruises will be designed to offer something for everyone. Our primary focus will be on high quality classes with innovative beading instructors.

Beading, like other crafts, allows us to express creativity while promoting better health through stress reduction and relaxation.

Our beading cruises will allow you to improve your skills while visiting some of the most interesting ports in the world with some of the most sought after teachers in the beading world.

Unlike most beading workshops, our beading cruises will pamper you onboard a premium cruise ship. Our beading cruises will provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere where you can be yourself without having to worry about anything except having a good time.

Beading Cruise Classes

Our beading cruises are designed to offer classes covering variety of different beading techniques at all skill levels. Classes can include anything from bead knitting, bead embroidery, off-loom beading, bead weaving, bead making, and wire work to easy bead stringing projects.

Depending on the length of the cruise and the itinerary a variety of beading classes will be offered. As the price of beads can vary, the cost of instruction is included but bead kits will be offered at an additional cost based on the quality of beads selected.

Craft Cruises™ Beading Classes on Demand

If you are signed up for one of our other Craft Cruises™ and are interested in learning the art of beading or expanding your beading skills we do offer beading on demand on a number of our departures. Beading artist and instructor, Mary Beth Gower, joins the Knautical Knitters on just about every cruise and is willing to teach anyone with interest the following:

Beadweaving: Learn the basics in peyote, netting, and brick stitch. Using a needle and thread you will create a stunning bracelet to wow your friends and fellow shipmates. Findings will be discussed, and you will have the option to make your own custom closure. No previous beading experience required. You must be able to thread a beading needle.

String Along with Me: Easy to string ankle bracelets, eyeglass chains, earrings or necklaces are made using wire and crimp beads. If you want to give beading a try this class if just for you! Your fingers will be flying and you'll soon have the knack and you can squeeze it in around the other classes and shipboard activities. Discussion includes tools of the trade which will be provided for your use. If you have saved broken jewelry (beads and charms) that are near and dear to your heart, you can recycle them in this class.

If interested contact Craft Cruises™ today to learn more about our on demand beading programs as well as our future beading cruises.

Beading Cruise Exclusive Parties

An ice breaking event designed to introduce the beading instructors and the participants. Held the first night of the cruise prior to dinner, this fully hosted event is something you don't want to miss.

Beading Cruise Mixers

Every evening the group gathers after dinner to get to know each other, to see what everyone is beading and to show and tell treasures found in port. These informal gatherings give us time to mingle, work on our beading projects and share what we are learning in beading class.

Beading Cruise Port lectures

The Cruise Lines have distinguished port lecturers onboard every cruise who provide information about the ports you will be visiting. The beading instructors lecture on ports whenever they posses first hand knowledge to assist in your enjoyment of that port from a beader's point of view. Lists of local bead stores and other places of interest will be provided whenever possible.
