Introduction

Ensenada is on Mexico's Baja Penisula and the second busiest port in Mexico.

There is a great cultural influence left here by Gamblers, Gold Miners, Russia, and Spanish Missionaries. This is shown in the buildings to the statues to the restaurants to the architectures and pretty much anywhere you look.

There is a great fish market, shopping areas, casinos, mariachi band whale watching, delicious wines and blowholes that spray water at least 50 feet in the air.

Port Orientation

Cruise ships use the same harbor as shipping containers, sports fishing boats, and basically all ships that would come to port in Ensenada.

Transportation

There are taxis and shuttles available to take you to the downtown tourist area. But everything is in walking distance from where the ship docks.

Sightseeing

You can Kayak through the sea caves, catch some waves, go scuba diving or snorkeling on Punta Bunda. If you rather stay dry you can go whale watching or stop by the sea lion rookeries.

There is an outdoor fish market by the sports fishing pier. You see what the catch of the day is before you have lunch.

If you want to feel the ocean spray without having to go to the beach there are three continuous tidal blowholes.

Ensenada is quaint city that is reliant on tourism, but you will never feel like a tourist while exploring the city.
