Introduction
Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city. The harbor is a very busy place with all different types of ship coming and going. This is the business, cultural, shopping, political and entertainment hub of Hawaii.
King Kamehameha III moved the capital of Hawaii from Lahaina, Maui to Honolulu in 1843 and it has remained ever since.
Port Orientation
Holland America will dock at Piers 10 or 11.
Transportation
There are taxis and buses available for you to hop in for a small fee. The Waikiki Trolley can also take you around Honolulu for a minimal fee.
Sightseeing
Sightseeing opportunities are abundant on the Island of Oahu. Whether you are interested in historical sites, the Rainbow Falls near Hilo town, or watching the lava flow from the Kalapana Volcano, there is something to satisfy everyone.
Stop by and see the State Capitol Building, the beautiful Botanical Gardens, War Memorials, and the Farmer's Market.
For the more adventurous, go swimming with Gray Reef, Hammerhead, Tiger, Sandbar and Galapagos Sharks. Of course you will be in a shark cage for safety.
