Melbourne's tram (trolley) system is the fourth largest in the world, and an awesome way to traverse the city and the station just a 5-minute walk away from the pier. Walking through the Central Business District (CBD) is a great way to see more of the interesting sculptures and art along the streets, and many of the attractions in the city are centralized. Phenomenal, eccentric, and innovative art fills Federation Square and colors pop with intensity all throughout Chinatown. History buffs can visit the famous Old Melbourne Gaol, a former prison of Australia's worst criminals. Albert Park Lake boasts beauty for pictures and a great place to take a picnic. For those wishing to relax a little more, St. Kilda beach is an excellent place to people-watch, soak up some sun, and enjoy the Australian climate.
