Red Bay, Labrador, Canada

Red Bay is a natural harbor, rich in whaling history from the 1500’s. It was considered one of the best ports in its day and saw heavy traffic. Due to this, the waters feature numerous shipwrecks and treasures waiting to be discovered. There are a pair of fascinating museums devoted to the artifacts dug up on land and in the sea. The area is great for hiking and natural site seeing as well as archeological site visits.

Visit historical whaling stations, ship wrecks, and other archeological sites. Take a boat tour of icebergs or to Saddle Island.
