But most never give it the time it deserves so maybe this sampling will inspire you to come back and give this wonderful island the time it deserves. It has been described as New Zealand in a nutshell and for most visitors the recommended length of stay is 7-10 days as to not rush the pristine experience.

Port Orientation

The Hobart Cruise Terminal is a short ten minute walk to city center. The ship docks in the heart of the historic Salamanca area which is renown for its craft and design shops.

Transportation

You can easily walk around Hobart and it is suggested you take a day tour to some of the most spectacular breathtaking scenery and wilderness areas in all of Tasmania and the world.

Sightseeing

While full day tours are exhausting this is one place that has much to offer making the tours well worth your while. Wineglass Bay in Freycinet National Park is stunning, visit historic Port Arthur which is Australia's most known convict site, visit Cradle Mountain, walk the rainforest canopy or just shop at the local arts and crafts stores in Hobart.
