Introduction
Dublin is known for being the home of Guinness Beer, numerous literary greats and the rock band U2. Dublin is a fun city that is currently enjoying the status of being one of the hottest and most livable cities in Europe.


Dublin enjoys mild temperatures with regular precipitation making an umbrella a handy item to pack.


Port Orientation
The ship will dock at the Maritime Hose, North Wall Quay less than a ten minute taxi ride to the center of Dublin. The ship docks in an industrial area so you will want to either hop a shuttle, take a tour or taxi out of this area.


Transportation
Taxis, buses and walking are the primary means of transportation. DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) is another option for low cost and frequent commuter options visit www.irishrail.ie for more information. Taxis can be hard to come by so find one at popular drop off locations such as hotels and major sites or restaurants.


Sightseeing
Walking tours are always popular and some sights include The Christ Cathedral, Dublin Castle, Abbey Therter, the National Gallery or the National Museum. For those with literary interest the Joyce James House and Dublin Writer's Museum would be sure to please. Or perhaps some local music and a visit to a distillery or the Guinness brewery would be more up your ally.
