Vancouver, Canada

Introduction

Vancouver is one of Canada's most magnificent cities with a vibrant waterfront and a sparkling skyline that is surrounded by majestic mountains. The scenery, friendliness of the locals and all the great dining and entertainment venues make this one of the most livable cities in the world. Your best advice is to spend as much time as you can here enjoying the sights and activities both within the city and in the surrounding area.

In the city you can enjoy strolling along the waterfront and Gastown, have Dim Sun in Chinatown or picnic in a Classical Chinese Garden, Hike or take a horse drawn carriage through Stanley Park, shop for handcrafts at Granville Island or shop for some of the most luxurious hand painted locally produced yarns at any one of the numerous Vancouver Yarn stores.

Not far outside of the city you can take the ferry over to Vancouver Island to Victoria where you can stroll through lovely Butchart Gardens or have High Tea at the famous Empress Hotel. You could also opt to walk the Capilano Suspension Bridge across a lush fir and fern carpeted canyon or take the domed rail train to Whistler for a little zip lining or ride the glass bottom gondola from peak to peak between the mountains of Whistler and Blackcomb.
