Your journey begins in Fairbanks where you'll visit Alaska's newest yarn mill, Arctic Qiviut, where you will learn about the process of spinning and dyeing qiviut into one of the most sought after yarns in the world. In Fairbanks you will also visit the Large Animal Research Station where you'll learn more about this fascinating animal and the role it plays in some of the most remote regions of the Arctic. Visit Denali National Park, snuggle husky puppies then see baby muskox and learn about the Oomingmak knitters at the Musk Ox Farm in Palmer.
